In September 2010, Russia is in the Technical Regulations (No. 753) entered on the safety of machinery in place. This law governs much like the European Machinery Directive, the safety requirements for machinery. The Technical Regulations also calls for the creation of a risk assessment and an operating manual, both of which must be in Russian. Failure to comply with the technical regulations can have significant law enforcement and fines amounting to follow.
